SHSLessonPlan (shslessonplan.com) helps Senior High School teachers in Ghana write NaCCA-aligned lesson plans, and helps students practise with quizzes. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details: when you sign in with Google, your name, email address and profile picture; or, if you use your phone number, that number. You may also give your name and choose teacher or student.
- What you make: the lesson plans, schemes of work and quizzes you create, the class details you enter (school, region, class size), your edits, and quiz answers you submit for marking.
- Payments: a record of each payment (amount, date, reference). Payments are handled by Paystack; we never see or store your card or Mobile Money PIN.
- Basic usage: when you last used the site, and technical logs needed to keep it running and secure.
How we use it
- To sign you in, keep your plans in "My plans", and count your plans and payments.
- To write your plans and quizzes. The class details and curriculum text are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the text. Your email and phone number are not sent.
- To keep the service safe, fix problems and understand how it is used.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare: hosting and database.
- Google: "Continue with Google" sign-in.
- Anthropic: AI writing of plans and quizzes.
- Paystack: payments.
- An SMS provider: login codes, if you use your phone number.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and plans while your account is open, so you can download them again. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. You can delete any plan yourself in "My plans".
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your account and data at any time by writing to the address below. Deleting your account removes your plans.
Children
Students may use the practice quizzes. We collect only what is needed to sign in and save quiz results, and nothing is used for advertising.
